Development story

After the success of the P-Series, there was a growing appreciation for Hasegawa's compact and high-precision technology suited for mass production. However, at the same time, some voices pointed out that the lineup of general-purpose machines capable of versatile and variable production had decreased. In response, Hasegawa considered the development of a turret turning center that embodied the idea of "big and small not coexisting."

To be honest, there were some business partners who suggested that it might be better to abandon the development of the turret lathe, as there were various types available in the market. Nevertheless, thanks to Hasegawa's unique structure, a small yet high-precision machine was successfully created, and it even won the Seikai Memorial Award from the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei Business Daily).

To be honest, some business partners suggested that it might be better to discontinue the development of the turret lathe, citing the existence of various types already available in the market. However, thanks to Hasegawa's unique structure, a small yet high-precision machine was successfully created, and it even won the Seikai Memorial Award from the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei Business Daily).

The structure includes:
Space-saving design.
High precision and productivity with the option to add milling capabilities.
Flexibility in automation, including various optional features.

Subsequently, responding to the request from the Tohoku Sales Office, Hasegawa embarked on the development of CW42, their first full-scale high-precision composite processing machine. It was launched for sale in November 2022. With a design that incorporates options to support automation, such as ultra-high-pressure coolant and vibration cutting, the machine achieves not only high-precision machining but also high productivity.

Currently, the C-Series turret lathe has become a significant pillar, accounting for nearly half of Hasegawa's total sales.
